Ben welcomes Jeremiah Hurley, a 20-year veteran of the US Army, and former Deputy CTO and Director of Innovation at JSOC. Jeremiah is currently a Senior Associate in Booz Allen Hamilton’s Chief Technology Office, where he’s focused on delivering data and artificial intelligence solutions to the Department of Defense. In part one, Jeremiah talks about the role technology plays in the armed forces and what it was like to transition from the military to civilian life.
About Jeremiah Hurley: Jeremiah is a Senior Associate in Booz Allen Hamilton’s Chief Technology Office, focused on delivering data and artificial intelligence solutions to the Department of Defense. Jeremiah recently retired from the Army after 20+ years of service as an Infantry officer. He spent much of his career in special operations and culminated his career as the Deputy Chief Technology Officer and Director of Innovation at the Joint Special Operations Command, where he authored the JSOC Technology Strategy and led multiple efforts to operationalize data in the special operations community. Jeremiah graduated from the United States Military Academy in 2002 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering, and from the Naval War College in 2012 with a Master’s in National Security and Strategic Studies. Outside of work, Jeremiah is a father of 5 young athletes and enjoys watching them play soccer and wrestle.
