Steve wraps up his conversation with Mark Goodwin, the President & CEO of Apex Clean Energy, a company that is expanding the renewable frontier across North America. In part two, Mark discusses his clean energy lobbying efforts, his thoughts on the Biden Administration’s infrastructure bills, and his take on the new laws that will add hurdles to wind and solar companies hoping to do business in Ohio.
About Mark Goodwin:
As CEO of Apex Clean Energy, Mark Goodwin leads the execution of corporate strategy. Since Apex’s founding, he has built a team of more than 250 professionals focused on creating customized clean energy solutions for businesses, government, utilities, and others. With Apex’s core values as a driving force, Mark has overseen the implementation of nearly 7 GW of wind and solar energy facilities, representing $9 billion of investment. He previously served as president and COO of Apex from 2009 to 2016.
Mark serves on the board of the American Clean Power Association (ACPA). From 2005 to 2009, he was a director at Horizon Wind Energy/EDPR. Prior to Horizon, Mark worked for the North American sales subsidiary of Vestas Wind Systems.
Mark is a former naval officer and helicopter pilot. He holds a BS in aerospace engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
