Subscription based apps are ubiquitous and big business. A couple of years ago, App Annie reported that in-app subscriptions accounted for $32 billion consumer spend in App Stores. This week, Joe is joined by two members of the senior leadership team at EverWash, a company that is disrupting the carwash business and offering users unlimited monthly carwash plans at their neighborhood carwash. Scott Caplan, the President and Co-Founder, and Scott Pashley, the Chief Revenue Officer, discuss how they used their knowledge in the fitness industry to build EverWash, how their service helped carwash owners during the pandemic and what the future of the EverWash looks like.
About Scott Caplan:
Scott Caplan is EverWash’s President and Co-Founder. A native of the Philadelphia area and serial entrepreneur, Scott founded Sweat Fitness in 1999 and built a chain of fitness centers in and around the city of Philadelphia. Along with EverWash Co-Founder John Cassady, Scott created EverWash based on the idea that other industries could benefit from the gym membership model, and the power of a strong network. He currently lives in the Philly suburbs with his wife, two children, and toy poodle.
About Scott Pashley:
Scott Pashley is EverWash’s Chief Revenue Officer. Born and raised in Northeast Philadelphia, Scott heads EverWash’s Sales and Marketing teams. Scott has a background in the gym industry, as a former fitness center operator and manager, and was part of the GlobalFit team that helped grow their network of fitness centers to new heights in the mid-to-late 2000s. Scott pivoted to the population health sector after leaving GlobalFit, establishing strong channel partnerships for companies like Shape Up, Total Well-Being, and Telligen, before joining EverWash in January 2019 as Senior Vice President of Business Development. He started his new role as Chief Revenue Officer in June 2019. He’s a graduate of Holy Family University in Northeast Philadelphia, and currently lives in South Jersey with his wife and two daughters.
