In 2020, lockdowns across the country kept fitness enthusiasts out of the gym and forced people to transform their living rooms into workout rooms. And they never stopped exercising. Thanks to that development, the ‘fitness recovery tech industry’ is now booming. One of the leaders in that space is Hyperice. They have been recognized on Fast Company’s World’s Most Innovative Companies list and on the prestigious Inc. 500 list of Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America. This week, Joe is joined by Jim Huether, the Chief Executive Officer at Hyperice. Jim shares how Hyperice became a world-class leader in the recovery and health technology industry, and how their products have the power to unlock the potential within everyone.
About Jim Huether: Jim is Chief Executive Officer at Hyperice. Jim joined the company in January 2014 after serving as Executive Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Xenith, LLC, a sports health and technology company at the forefront of head protection.
Prior to Xenith, LLC, he led as Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy for the Sports Concussion Institute following senior marketing and finance roles at Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) and Smith Barney of Citigroup.
Under his leadership, Hyperice has grown tremendously, with revenues tripling from 2018 to 2020 and products now sold in over 60 countries worldwide. Hyperice has also earned a spot on Fast Company’s 2021 Most Innovative Companies and the Inc. 500 for five years in a row, all the while defining the international standard for recovery and movement enhancement technology.
A continuous learner with a real passion for business development, Jim prides himself on the team-first culture he has built at Hyperice and looks forward to the Hyper-Connected Recovery Ecosystem that will usher Hyperice into its next and most exciting era.
